Mike and Cheryl Charlton have owned Sunshine Resort since 2000.  Mike had been coming to the river since 1958 and always wanted to retire here after 30 years as a masonry contractor.  The opportunity arose and Mike and Cheryl purchased Sunshine Resort.  This very well kept secret is located on the California side and is the last resort before reaching the Parker Dam.

 

This gorgeous, quiet, family-oriented, park features 36 mobile homes, 28 RV spaces with a nice grassy area and 60 storage units with your choice of single and double width.  Mike also has two rental units and there is currently one unit for sale.  But you’d better hurry because it won’t last long. 

 

Sunshine Resort is the only privately owned park on BLM land.  This quiet area is rich in history and includes total beach access, a new launch ramp and 13 new boat slips.  At the entrance to the park you will find the office, store with general merchandise and a recreation room with a brand-new patio for community activities.  This is where you will find Miss Trouble Cat napping and greeting guests.
